The mid-20th century modern look, with its clean lines and sharp angles, is the epitome of modern interior design. But there is also simplified modernism, with its distinctively stark surfaces and natural materials that allow light to travel through the room. And then there is my personal favorite, the eco-design movement with its focus on pioneering structural design and use of environmentally friendly materials. Accent walls, murals, stenciled borders, and faux finishes can all be achieved with paint. A little ingenuity and a bit of elbow grease can transform your bathroom into a mini oasis, a mini beach, or a mini spa. And the best part: You can probably paint the entire bathroom in just an afternoon.
